Sunil and Prashant founded Oxygen Healthcare (O2h) in May 2003 and provided Strategic Consulting, Investment Advisory & Business Development to a range of clients operating within the field of discovery and biotechnology such as,Adprotech (now Inflazyme), Arakis, Cambridge Biotechnology (now part of Biovitrum), UCL Biomedica, and Amicus Therapeutics. The consulting projects have covered strategic planning, licensing, spin-outs, fund-raising, technology assessments, market assessments, business plan development, clinical trials modeling, JV structuring, investment evaluation, partnership development, business development and business modeling. O2h also began providing support to companies interested in carrying out research and operations in India.

Following discussions with our consulting clients it was clear that constraints in research capacity, expertise and budget were limiting the growth prospects for shareholders. At the same time it was also clear that India was emerging as a global destination for life sciences research, catalyzed by the inclusion of India joining WTO and respecting IP rights. Detailed discussions with leading scientists from the Cambridge cluster followed, in which project management was placed at the centre of the O2h discovery services delivery platform. O2h now provides a range of discovery services to clients covering EU, USA and Japan from Gujarat, India. O2h's HQ is based in the Cambridge Science Park, UK, at the heart of Europe’s leading biotechnology cluster.
