At O2h we understand the need for effective and timely communications with client. O2h has perfected, over a number of years, simple yet clear templates which enable the systematic day-to-day reporting and measurement of scientific progress. Together, these levels (The O2h ‘6L’) provide a highly transparent and accountable project management system.


O2h ensure the appropriate level of QC on a project without ever obstructing direct communication. Key reports are drafted by the scientists prior to a structured meeting with the group leader and are then sent for QC by an objective off-site (UK) scientific liaison before being shared with our clients on Monday.


Level-1: Direct Communication: This is the most obvious means of rapidly solving issues and problems that occur during the drug discovery process.


Level-2: Project Status Reports: These provide a one page tabulated summary outlining the progress of the project and highlighting any problems and/or project wins and most importantly the progress against the deadline for each compound.


Level-3: Project Milestone Chart: A project planning document in excel which includes a graphical milestone chart showing visual progress of the programme of work of each step of the discovery process and/or each step of the synthesis.


Level-4: 7-day/Weekly Forward Planning: O2h also provide a daily work plan for each of the scientists working on the project. The scientists record what they plan to do for the next 7 days as a subset of the graphical milestone plan. The scientists also provide a concise summary against the daily plans of the previous week, in other words, state the progress against the plan.


Level-5: O2h Dashboard Performance Metrics: O2h also records a wide range of performance data. This is uploaded to the secure website on a two-weekly cycle.


Level-6: Project Feedback Form: At the end of every phase of the project O2h ask its clients to fill in a feedback form, which provides O2h with objective information that is useful in improving service. This data is collated and analysed and then distributed to all senior professionals in O2h.
